There’s a huge need for talks about the relationship between Germany and Turkey: we at VOLLMERT do not wish to comment on the content of these diverse statements. Only this much: “Türkiye’ye hoş geldiniz” or in English: “Welcome to Turkey!” is exactly what we received during an assignment in Turkey in May 2017.
In March 2017, VOLLMERT received an order to relocate a furnace system for structural components and other oversized systems and peripherals from Bielefeld in eastern Westphalia to Izmir in Turkey and to reassemble them in parts on site.
As part of VOLLMERT’s full service package, the customer had commissioned VOLLMERT to carry out not only the mechanical and electrical disassembly and reassembly, but also the transport itself. So a large number of plants were dismantled, packed and shipped to Turkey.
The route of nine trucks and six heavy transports led from Bielefeld via Trieste (Italy), further on with a ferry service to Izmir in Turkey, where all plant components arrived shortly after Easter and were stored. In the meantime, all plants have been moved to their new destination and also reassembled. Mission accomplished and our partner was very happy!
